Medical Reserve Corp
The Delaware County Medical Reserve Corps, operating with community partners within the Delaware County Citizens Corps Council, will provide assistance in time of need and at the request of local health care and health service agencies and the local chapter of the American Red Cross to better protect and promote the health of all who live, work, and attend school in our county.
Local responders can become overwhelmed, during times of need the help of Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteers including: medical and public health professionals, such as physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, dentists, veterinarians, and epidemiologists can join to lend a helping hand. Many non-medical community members also support the MRC, such as interpreters, chaplains, office workers, and legal advisors. All of these individual make up the MRC who assist and respond to emergency health needs including disasters, other public health needs and initiatives.
